Polling stations, elections, etc
Where do I vote?
For all elections, Hale End & Highams Park ward is divided into FOUR smaller “polling districts”, each with its own polling station – as follows:
1. Polling district GA is the E!7 area south of the North Circular. The polling station is Thorpe Hall School in Hale End Road.
2. GB includes parts of Woodford Green and the polling station is Oak Hill Primary School, Alders Avenue.
3. GC is the parts of Highams Park in our ward that are “on the other side” of the railway – e.g. Winchester Road, Larkshall Road, etc. The polling station is Selwyn Primary School, Cavendish Road/Selwyn Ave.
4. GD contains roads between the level crossing and the North Circular that are not in GB. The polling station is at the United Reformed Church in Malvern Avenue.
You may also apply for a postal vote if you do not already have one. Another possibility, if you are unable to vote otherwise in a particular election, is to ask for a “proxy vote” – i.e. you appoint someone to vote on your behalf. In both cases, contact the Electoral Registration Officer to ask for the appropriate form. The address is:Electoral Registration Officer, London Borough of Waltham Forest, Town Hall, Forest Rd., London, E17 4JF.Phone: 9am – 5pm Mon. to Fri. on 8496-4562 [or 4565]e-mail: electoral.services@walthamforest.gov.uk
